Sound the Alarm!

It may be shocking to some but the naked truth is on your
calendar. The United States of America has declared the month of June
2023 Pride Month intending for its citizens, including the marginalized
evangelical Christians, to celebrate what God has declared in the Bible to be
abominations in thought, word, and deed. (The shorthand definition of these
abominations is LGBTQ and variations thereof!) One wonders if there are
any “Christian leaders” in America’s religious and political systems who
can and will sound the alarm from God’s Word. Note these passages: Proverbs
6:16-19, “There are six things that the Lord hates, Yes seven that are
an abomination to Him:“haughty eyes . . . .”” Proverbs 16:5, “Everyone
who is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; Assuredly, he will not go unpunished.” For
those who mock God and His threat,” Consider Proverbs 16:18, “Pride goes
before destruction, And a haughty spirit before stumbling.” This has
both individual as well as national application. Destruction refers
to absolute ruin/collapse as does its parallel term “stumbling (= fall).”
For a number of years the culture in America has toyed with and finally cast
away its “moral compass” found in the Bible. No one, Christians as well as
non-Christians, will be exempt when divine judgment falls. May our churches and
the evangelical Christians everywhere sound the alarm whenever and wherever we
can. The only “escape route” individually and nationally is to return to
the Bible, believe it, and identify with Jesus Christ who alone can save. Culturally safe sermons and teachings plus
entertainment models in many churches, cannot
avoid the inevitable. Let us all sound the alarm! Jesus is coming again and
perhaps sooner than we think! “Behold, now is ‘THE ACCEPTABLE TIME,’ behold,
now is ‘THE DAY OF SALVATION’” (2 Corinthians 6:2b).
